Free Range Film Festival

Texas Snow has been selected to screen at the Free Range Film Festival on Friday, July 25th at 9:25pm.  It looks to be a great festival.  It looks like our composer, Keegan DeWitt, has two films in the festival, with Quiet City playing on Saturday, July 26th.

I must say, I’m diggin’ their very simple description of the film: Mumblecore is an exciting new movement in independent film, celebrating the poetry of everyday conversation. “Texas Snow” eavesdrops on the romantic entanglements of three twentysomethings.

Texas Snow gets a mention over at the Post-Dispatch.

StL Filmmakers Showcase - Panel

I was invited to take part in a filmmaking panel during the Showcase this year.  All the panels take place on Saturday, July 19th at the Regional Arts Commission.  I’m on Panel #4 — Producing Independent Features in St. Louis, which starts at 4:00pm.

From the Showcase site:

The directors of this year’s SLFS features talk about the practicalities, benefits, and difficulties of shooting in St. Louis. Participants include Wyatt Weed, Matt Krentz, David VonAllmen, Scott Wibbenmeyer, Aaron Coffman, Brad Hodge and Derek Elz.
